Nature moves through sixteen cycles of energy, sixteen cycles of matter, Sixteen cycles of Consciousness and Sixteen cycles of Spirit Essences.
In these cycles of Energy, matter, Consciousness and spirit one cannot comprehend the depth of nearly 8640 energy vortexes it generates. On the grossest level of Energy, Consciousness and Spirit one attains the knowledge of the Gross and subtle essence through the sixteen parts of Divinity that we consider as God within us. One of the most prominent and first among them is Prāņa.
Everything else that is known of the Five levels of Consciousness at level of the Energy, Matter or Spirit emerges, merges and re-emerges from the prāņa, thus it is called the Adi-Upasana or prāņa-upasana or prāņaopāsnā. The core of prāņa-upasana is the prāņa-vāyu. The prāņa-vayu at grossest levels of matter and energy is known as breathing while at the core remains the Prāna-cittā-shārirā.
Prāņaopāsnā begins with the knowledge, awareness, understanding and acceptance of the prāņa or the prāna-vāyu. It is the worship of the energy bridge that shall connect the body with the mind and heart. This is based on the Ka(Force) of Eternal Energy and it allows the body (Bhu) to merge with the Manas (Heart+Mind) allowing the Consciousness (cittā)to become susceptible to the senses level of awareness.
This is the technique to balance the Force of inhalation(prāna) with the force of exhalation (apāna) with the other vayu’s Vyāna, Samāna, Udāna. But the beginning has to be with Prāna and Apāna slowly merging with Vyāna and for higher spirits and advanced adepts to attain victory over Udāna.
The whole process forms part of the Kabaál Kriyā at Body and Manas level called the Ananth Yogā. Practicing the way allows one to rise beyond the realm of body conditions and religious connotations to connect with the spirit in essence.
