Modern science is finally catching up with what ancient yogis always knew. The human body is an integrated system. It is not a machine with replaceable parts.
The image above shows something fascinating. It is a myofascial continuity. Some call it a “Superficial Back Line (SBL)” or Deep Front Line (DFL). This is a band of connective tissue (fascia). It runs from the tip of your tongue to your toe flexors. This fascial chain interlinks the diaphragm, psoas muscles, iliacus, pubic bone, and quadratus lumborum. It also connects the deep posterior compartments and ends at the toes.

In Kashmir Shaivism, the tongue (jihvā) is not just a muscular organ. It is the seat of speech (vāg-vr̥tti). It also serves as subtle expression (Vak Shakti). The feet and toes, meanwhile, are linked to Gati Shakti. This represents the principle of movement and progression. It applies not just to the body but also to karma and pranic flow.
