 Universal Centre for Spiritual Research and Development (UCSRD) seeks to advance scientific study of spiritual development by conducting qualitative and quantitative cross-cultural research on the nature, processes, and outcomes of spiritual development in people by building a interdisciplinary, broad network of scholars, leaders, practitioner who are engaged in advancement of this field in the world.


Pure Spiritual Tools, resources, communication and partnerships are developed devoid of Dogmas to help children, youth, parents, educators, philosophers to effectively nurture the spiritual lives of people globally. We work on the concept of integrating the current understandings of human development with spiritual development and not religious development. The very base of the centre is based on the concept of multi-faith, multicultural, and interdisciplinary insights and perspectives from the social sciences, religious studies, and other fields allowing us to respect all beliefs and life experiences of all.


In its core we are nonsectarian organization that seeks to promote the knowledge, awareness, understanding of Caitya engaging scholars, leaders, practitioners, parents, and young people in exploring this domain of human development regardless of their own religious or spiritual tradition, including those who are not part of a particular religious or spiritual tradition.


About the Founder

A Life Rooted in Spiritual and Intellectual Mastery

Sri Adi Maitreya Rudrabhayananda Ji was born during the Spring Equinox of 1970 in Delhi, India, into a family deeply rooted in education and spiritual traditions. Originally named Venugopalan, meaning “Young Krishna holding a bamboo flute,” he was raised in an environment that nurtured intellectual and spiritual pursuits.

His father, Sh. Rajagopalan, a devout Ganesh bhakta, was well-versed in Sanskrit scriptures and received guidance from revered masters such as Swami Sivananda, Swami Agnivesh, Swami Rama, Sai Baba, and the Shankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti. His Father had great command over 7 Languages including English, Sanskrit, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Pestu. His paternal lineage traces back to Mullamuttil Tharavad, while his maternal lineage is connected to royal heritage.

Driven by an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, he has earned numerous academic and professional qualifications. He holds a PhD in Marketing, a M.Phil in Yoga and more than 8 Masters Degrees. He is quite adept in Ancient knowledge of Marma, Acupunture, Varmam, Siddha, Homeopathy, Jyotisha, Computer Programming, Oracle, MCSE, MCSD, and Counselling.

While excelling in the corporate and government sectors from 1990, he ultimately left his professional career in 2006 to fully dedicate himself to the path of spiritual awakening and global transformation.


🌌 A Spiritual Journey Beyond Time

Sri Adi Maitreya Rudrabhayananda Ji’s spiritual transformation began at the age of seven, marked by profound mystical experiences and early encounters with enlightened masters across traditions. From an early age, he was guided by eminent spiritual figures, including:

🕉️ Aghor MahaBaba Pinakadin Ji – Founder of the Aghor Panth
🕉️ Swami Chidananda – Spiritual Successor of Swami Sivananda
🕉️ Lama Dzsong Rinponche – Master of Tibetan Buddhist Teachings
🕉️ Matang Baba – Keeper of Ancient Mystical Knowledge

Recognizing his past-life wisdom and spiritual calling, these masters provided him with sacred initiations, unlocking deep reservoirs of knowledge from previous incarnations.

He was bestowed the name “Rudrabhayananda” by Aghor MahaBaba Pinakadin Ji, acknowledging his fearless embodiment of Rudra’s transformative energy. His final name, Sri Adi Maitreya Rudrabhayananda, was revealed through the Cosmic Transeunt Lineage (Naimisha Parampara) in 1996 by Eternal Mahababa Isāpöjågäv—a name destined to be spoken when the time for its revelation arrived.
